A well attended charity fund raiser was organised by Hubullah Welfare Society at Hotel Avari on 14th May, 2017.
The fundraiser was all about the launch of Cancer Drug Bank under which provision of free medicines at the doorstep of cancer patients had been made possible after free online consultation with oncologists from different countries around the globe.
The charity fund raiser was attended by people from all walks of life. Many literary and television personalties also graced the occasion prominent among them were TV film actor Irfan Khusat, playwright Asghar Nadeem Syed, poet and playwright of great eminence Amjad Islam Amjad, Director Shakir Ali Museum Amna Pataudi , Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Captain ( Retd) Atta Muhammad Khan and Director Arts and Culture Lahore Arts Council Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi.
The chief guest on the occasion was the Patron-in- Chief of Hubullah Welfare Society Dr Ahsen Waris who donated a three wheeler bike to the special person Tariq as part of Hubullah’s Employment project.
Speaking on the occasion President Hubullah Welfare Society Dr Ehsan – Ur- Rehman an oncologist by profession threw light on the Cancer Drug Bank initiative and highlighted The aims and objectives of Hubullah Welfare Society.
Sidra Islam Additional General Secretary Women wing HWS gave a detailed presentation on Hubullah . A documentary screening featuring the special person Tariq and his life journey was also a salient feature of the event. The Documentary was directed by Ahsan Aslam and produced by Saud Butt.
The celebrities who spoke on the occasion unanimously supported the noble cause of HWS in their speeches. Visual artist and Director Shakir Ali Museum Amna Pataudi generously offered prints of her five paintings which could be reproduced on greeting cards of Hubullah for sale, the sale proceeds would be used in Hubullah Welfare Projects.
